The newest location of Edley’s Bar-B-Que opened in the west part of Nashville, in the historic Sylvan Park neighborhood.
The local BBQ joint first opened doors in 2011 with a location in the 12 South neighborhood, followed by a second store that opened up in East Nashville in 2013.
“Our first location is in a great neighborhood,” said Edley’s owner Will Newman. “When we moved to East Nashville, I was looking for that similar neighborhood feel and we found that in East Nashville. It only made sense to continue that in Sylvan Park, which is just an amazing historic neighborhood.”
This 3,600 square feet space sits on the edge of 45th Avenue North and Murphy Road at the Sylvan Park roundabout. Included in the restaurant are multiple patio areas, featuring a 1,000 square foot area facing the roundabout, and an additional 600 square foot one on the east side of the restaurant that also connects to the bar.
The new location is taking the place of a former meat and three restaurant that closed doors in 2012. Newman stated that while the newest location of the barbecue restaurant is designed similar to the other two, the Sylvan Park location pays tribute to the businesses that once stood there.
“We’re excited to be part of the neighborhood. We’re just honored to be there and we want to make Sylvan Park proud,” he said.
